Holly Choon Hyang Bachman was adopted from South Korea as Sung Choon Hyang, when she was 3-1/2 years old and grew up in Minnesota…Since then she graduated from high school where she helped start a high school student group called the Mixed Roots Cultural Diversity Group in Owatonna, MN…Mixed Roots at that time promoted diversity and multiculturalism in the schools and still exists today and since has also expanded to the middle school.

In 2011, Holly went onto found the Mixed Roots Foundation in San Francisco, CA which is now headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with still presence in San Francisco, Minneapolis and New York and currently serves as President of the organization and just celebrated 15 Years this past May 25, 2026.

Holly continues to volunteer full time with Mixed Roots Foundation and started her own business called Mixed Roots Enterprises in 2018 a social enterprise boutique agency that provides a combination of over 25 years of personal and professional expertise in marketing/PR, business development and special events consulting for small to medium size businesses with clients spanning nationwide including Minneapolis, San Francisco, and Los Angeles and New York in which a portion of business revenue benefits Mixed Roots Foundation.

Holly received her B.A. in Sociology with a Minor in Social Psychology from the University of Minnesota and enjoys her time most importantly giving back to the community through mentoring and organizing various local and national events that promote identity, diversity most importantly unity. Holly currently resides in the Santa Monica, CA area.

Eve Richards, Vice President

Eve Richards is a British-born actress, producer, executive producer, television host, keynote speaker, thought leader, and philanthropist with Cameroonian roots. She is the founder, executive producer, and host of The Discovery Series with Eve and has appeared in film and television projects including A Line of Fire, Straight Shot, and Surviving the Cartel. Eve serves as a Board Director of Friends of Greystone, a Gracie Awards Judge, and a Founding Member and Strategic Advisor of the G-Woman Advisory Council. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Cinema and Fashion Studies by Chania International University.

Lilly Burchstead, Treasurer

Lilly Burchstead has been serving over 22 years in Finance with Paramount Studios in Los Angeles area and acting as Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors since 2015 with Mixed Roots Foundation. Her daughter also serves as the youngest Jr. Ambassador to date and continues to volunteer both of their time to the organization.
